Half the people who join a gym quit within 2 months?
Out of the rest who join a gym only 20% continue exercising three times per week. So if your going to join a gym make sure you are committed and motivated to actually attending. You have to build it into your daily/weekly routine. Some people join a gym just to improve their social life, why not! I know someone who has spent hundreds if not thousands on gym memberships but she only goes once every couple of months! She likes the idea of being fit but has problems actually motivating herself, after a hard days work, to get down the gym. Of course it's easier to have a glass of wine in front of the T.V. but don't be surprised when you gain a few pounds and start feeling like you have no energy. Instead why not get down the gym, do your routine whilst watching the gyms T.V. then reward yourselve with a relaxing bath at home with your glass of wine, not ideal but it's a good compromise! |
